Franz Wagner Injury Update
As much as the Magic want to catch up with other Eastern Conference teams, the road becomes more challenging as Franz Wagner hurt his ankle in the last period during their 126-125 loss against the Hawks.
He may miss the game against the Rockets as he is still listed as questionable, as per team’s injury report. Wagner has been the only consistent starter for the Magic this season, and his absence will definitely make it tougher for the Magic to pull it off on the road. He is contributing 19.6 points with 4.2 rebounds per game this season and has been one of the reliable contributors for the Magic.
“Losing sucks,” Wagner said after their last loss. “On the other hand, we’re actively pushing towards a mentality we grow every day: the result matters but the process more. We’re a little encouraged with that fourth quarter, the fight we showed. That’s kind of the mentality we need to have.”
If he will not be able to play tomorrow, Terrence Ross will likely replace him as the starter. Admiral Schofield, which have quality minutes as of late, will be the backup.
Rockets Update
It’s been a while since the Rockets have been a relevant team in the League. Since they decided to rebuild, they secured some quality prospects like Jalen Green and the Rookie Jabari Smith, however, it seems like they will need much more time to develop the roster and make it a playoff.
They are still last in the league and haven’t been as impressive as they should be, despite having young stars with Eric Gordon as the veteran. However, it will be interesting to see how they play against another team with young stars.They has a balanced scoring, led by Green’s 21.3 points per game and 18 points per game from Kevin Porter Jr.
Porter jt. Is also leading the team in terms of assist (5.6) and steals (1.4) per game. More contributors are needed in crashing boards as no one is avargaring atleast 9 rebounds per game.
